About Me:

I was born and raised in the Rogue Valley and I am proud to call this community my home. I spent the better part of my childhood riding horses, playing soccer, running, and generally sustaining some sort of activity related injury. This early experience with physical therapy gave me an appreciation for rehabilitation science, and I began studying ways to make the body stronger and more resilient at a very young age.

I received my Bachelor’s from Stanford University in 2007. During my undergraduate career I ran cross country and track as a walk on athlete. Although I frequently felt in over my head, competing with such a talented and passionate group of women allowed me to experience a level of performance that I never though possible. My curiosity for training the body to accomplish life’s goals continued.

In 2009 I moved across the country to pursue a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University. In 2012, I settled in Nashville to begin my career but began to miss the slower lifestyle and beautiful mountain ranges of the West Coast. I moved home in 2018 and will forever be grateful for my time in the South.

During my career as a physical therapist I have continued to add valuable skills to my practice in order to best serve my community. I have taken advanced courses in trigger point dry needling, Astym therapy, exercise prescription, and manual therapy. I am proud to be a Geriatric Certified Specialist, a Certified Lymphedema Specialist, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. I am currently working on obtaining my Canine Physical Therapist certification to provide rehab for both ends of the leash.

Professionally, I strive to provide creative and personalized patient care tailored to an individual’s unique goals. I believe that a person can get stronger and feel better at any age, although the approach should be different depending on the person’s stage of life. I am a committed lifelong learner and believe that patient education is key for lasting success well after physical therapy is complete. I love to witness others accomplish their goals, yours included.

In my free time I enjoy backpacking, running, swimming, and cycling. I also enjoy spoiling my dog, 3 cats, 11 chickens, and boyfriend (in that order).

Client Reviews

“Leah is exceptional! I worked with Leah after a serious accident for 3 months and was really touched by the care Leah provided. She took the time to listen to my goals, understand my motivation for treatment, and always believed in me (even when I didn't). The tailored treatment I received from Leah, combined with the way she deeply cared about me and my recovery, significantly impacted my recovery and health. After being one year out from my accident, I still think about the way Leah touched my life during a very hard time. If I could rate Leah more than 5 stars I would - she is one of the best providers I have ever had!”

“Leah is an excellent physical therapist. She listens to help determine the root cause of your pain, weakness or stiffness in your joints. She is able to prescribe the appropriate exercises that can easily be added to your daily routine, without being overwhelming to lead to your recovery. Leah treated me before and after my hip replacement allowing me to recover quickly. I highly recommend her.”
